Where do I get my ingredients for this Vodka Hot Chocolate?

My personal favorite hot chocolate mix is Mike & Jen’s from Duluth, MN. Lucky for me it’s available on Amazon so I’m able to get my fix even though we no longer live there. Win win!

You can easily use your favorite vodka for the caramel and vanilla that you grab from your local shop.

Can I make this Vodka Hot Chocolate cocktail alcohol free?

You know it! Instead of using vodka, substitute the caramel and vanilla with a Caramel Vanilla Coffee Syrup, like this Skinny Syrup favorite. I use this in my coffee regularly and it makes for one delicious latte at home. Use just one or two pumps, otherwise it’ll be a very, very sweet hot cocoa.

Making it this way ensures everyone can enjoy it! If you have kids at home, they’ll love helping you whip these hot chocolates up.

Do I have to drink this Vodka Hot Chocolate hot or can I enjoy it chilled?

It can be enjoyed either cold or hot! I tried “Frozen Hot Chocolate” for the first time as a teenager at the Paris Market in Savannah and was BLOWN away by how delicious it was. Instead of heating up the water, you’ll add all of the ingredients except the topping to a blenderadd a 1/2 cup ice, and blend away.

To make it creamier, add 6-8 oz of your milk of choice instead of water. I’ve used 2%, oat milkand almond milk.

They all work well and are absolutely fantastic. If you want to make this a super treat, add in a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream too. Yum!!
