I feel like you can mix any style aesthetic together nowadays and make it look good. Something about bringing the southern decor style to the beach is so dreamy. I love the cross between warm brown tones of southern decor mixed with the light-hearted off-whites and baby blues of coastal designs. These two are a match made in heaven, and if you’re curious about this combination, I have some gorgeous decor picked out to get you started.

The Heart Of Southern Coastal Home Decor

Southern Coastal Bedroom

You can bring this design style anywhere into your home. I think this aesthetic is versatile because the mix between darker and warmer tones sets the tone for any space. This Chenille Tufted All-Season Bedding is a great start, and it’s not too in your face but subtly emphasizes all the colors we’ll be adding. A great cross between the two is rattan features such as this Wicker Wall Decor set of 9 that makes for a great gallery wall. Finally, I love this Floor Wood Mirror because it has a distressed look that is very popular in traditional western and coastal decor.

Southern Coastal Living Areas

The fun begins because most of these pieces can work between your dining room, living room, kitchen, or wherever works! This Nicole Miller Patio Country Ayana Rug is the prettiest shade of blue and adds excellent contrast if you already have neutral furniture. The definition of southern coastal decor is this Pineapple Light Fixture; I have no words. This is just adorable. On the topic of lighting, this Caged Ceiling Fan is phenomenal and fits perfectly into this aesthetic. Finally, if you are like me and like your dishware to match your home, this Elama Round Stoneware Luxurious Mellow Dinnerware Dish Set is just what you’re looking for.

Favorite Decor Pieces

Now it’s time to sell your space with the decor and add all your personal touches. My favorite piece I found is this Oyster Pineapple Wall Hanging Sign, just an all-around fantastic piece of decor. I’ve styled it in my dining room but am considering another one for my living room soon. Another one of my favorite pieces is this Creative Co-Op Heavily Distressed Round Resin Weights that would look so cute displayed on a console or coffee table. I feel like it’s essential to have at least one statement art piece that is on theme with the rest of your decor, and this Blue Sea Waves Watercolour’ Framed Canvas is the cherry on top of this look. The last piece is these simple Boho Drink Coasters that are small details but too perfect to pass up.

Hopefully, I was able to give you a better idea of this design aesthetic and maybe influence you to try it out. I’m personally a big fan of this look and love its light but also very cozy for a home.
