When it comes to starting your day, there is no better way than with a tasty brunch surrounded by your loved ones. Sitting with your favorite people, eating delicious breakfast food, and perhaps a mimosa or two, what’s there not to like? Brunch is one of my favorite meals, but sometimes, going out to brunch can get expensive. You can easily throw your own bougie brunch, even on a budget!

How to throw a bougie brunch on a budget

Planning your menu

Brunch is, first and foremost, all about the food. But that doesn’t mean you have to get up at the crack of dawn to prepare your feast. Start by focusing on recipes that you can make ahead of time, such as casseroles, bakes, and pastries. To keep this budget-friendly, look for recipes that use cheaper ingredients such as eggs and even meatless options to stretch your food budget.

Don’t forget the bubbly drinks

There is something so iconic about mimosas and brunch, but you don’t have to entirely skip the bubbly if you’re on a tight budget! Instead, feel free to cheap out a bit on the OJ and consider getting white wine instead of champagne if you need to. You can even whip up other cocktails instead, such as martinis or daiquiris, if champagne is out of your price range.

Set up a self-serve bar

Having a themed buffet station will not only make your brunch more elegant but makes it easier to feed a crowd too! Have a toast, bagel, or even coffee bar to make things feel more elegant and unique. These don’t have to be fancy or homemade either! Store-bought bagels with various jams and jellies can still be classy when served upright.

Keep things fresh

One of the downsides to breakfast food is that it smells greasy. Instead of letting your home be filled with the smells of bacon all morning long, have some air fresheners handy to lighten the air. It will not only make your home smell fantastic but will give your party a little more elegance over the diner smell of bacon and eggs.

Don’t be afraid of the classics

Waffles, bacon, eggs, pancakes, toast all have one thing in common. They are all classic breakfast foods! Don’t be afraid to use these as your main courses on their own! While having fresh strawberries and chocolate chips might sound cheesy, these little touches can dress up your classic dishes! Instead of going all out on every dish, go all out on your toppings and stick to the classics!

Dress up for the event

You might be eating eggs, toast, and bacon, but doing it all dressed up can easily turn a casual get-together into a fun and classy event! Don’t be afraid to dress up a little, even if it’s just grabbing a dress over a pair of jeans from your closet.

As you can see, you don’t have to be fabulously wealthy to enjoy a delicious and fun brunch with your closest friends and family! These tips will help ensure your next brunch celebration is perfect.
