Like all of the recipes I post, these dessert cups are simple, easy and fun to eat! If you grew up watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer every winter, you will love these!
Who else grew up watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on tv every single Christmas season?! I did and I loved it! The story of how sweet Rudolph overcame so much just to become Santa’s right hand reindeer always tugged at my heartstrings. It also made me feel so sad for him when he was a child and felt like such an outcast! The kids have watched it so many times and always get so mad when the other reindeer pick on him.
We also own it so we can watch it whenever we want. I can’t help it y’all! I could easily be a Christmas year round person. You can grab a copy of the dvd/blu ray from Amazon for only $10! Perfect stocking stuffer or early Christmas gift.
The only downside to this dessert? Waiting for it to set! Kidding, it doesn’t take long whatsoever. You will definitely want to make this in advance to give it adequate time to set and be cold. Room temp jello? Eek, no thanks y’all. You can get almost all of your ingredients at your favorite grocery store. I haven’t seen the trimming kit at our local store, so I just ordered them from Amazon. So thankful for how easy it is to find and order things from there! We’re prime members because it just offers so many awesome benefits. But really, who can beat that two day shipping, prime movies and books?! Love it all.
These are so easy to make, you’ll want to make them for all of your fun Christmas parties! The mix of the tasty cherry gelatin with the condensed milk is SO good. I love that sweet and tarty combination of flavors! I made this with cherry, but you could always use your favorite flavor. It will just change the flavor and depending on the flavor used, it will change the color.
Serve this while you watch the movie to create sweet new family tradition along with other fun themed treats. “Snowy” mashed potatoes with “Rudolph’s red nosed” slow cooker meatballs anyone?! So many possibilities!
