Banana Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Banana Chocolate Chip Pound Cake is a buttery, soft, rich cake with deliciously sweet chocolate chips baked in and the perfect amount of banana flavor.


  • ¾ cup butter softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ½ tbsp almond or vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cup flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 banana mashed


  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9 inch loaf pan.
  • Using a stand mixer, beat butter and sugar for 5 minutes or until fluffy.
  • Slowly, add in eggs, egg yolks, mashed banana, almond or vanilla extract. Beat until incorporated, about 3 minutes.
  • Add in flour, a little at a time. Beat on low, until batter is combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool for 20 minutes and then remove from the pan.


Note: I like to serve it warm with a tab of butter.
