Fried Rice

This easy to make fried rice is so good! Perfect for busy days, this recipe is always a hit.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups cooked rice leftover rice works great!
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or oil of choice
  • Pinch salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  • Turn pan on to medium high heat & pour oil in it. When it’s warm, add the eggs & scramble.
  • Once eggs are done, add cooked rice to pan & mix together. Bump heat down to medium. Season with salt, pepper, & ginger.
  • Continue to cook until rice is warm. Add soy sauce, mix well, cook for about one more minute.
  • Enjoy! Serve on its own or with your favorite vegetables.

Notes

** This recipe is easy to whip up using either freshly made rice or leftover rice. When I know I’ll be making fried rice, I make 10+ cups of rice the night before & save half. You can also freeze your cooked rice & use that as well! 
If you don’t like soy sauce, you can experiment with other soy sauce alternatives. I haven’t tried them so I can’t personally recommend any specific brands or products. 
Since this includes eggs, it’s a great protein packed dish. You can easily add your favorite cooked vegetables to the rice while it’s cooking or top it once it’s done. 
Add anywhere from 4-8 eggs, depending on how much protein you’d like in the dish. We prefer to use 6-8, but 4 works in a pinch!
