Who else loves making cute candies? I know I do! My kids love it too, even before we were spending 100% of our time at home. We always have so much fun making these candied Butterfly Pretzels. The kids rarely ever wait for them to set, but it’s worth it to give them that little bit of time.
I used either grocery delivery or amazon to get these handful of ingredients. They go a long way too, so you won’t use all of what you purchase. Just means you can make more later too! 🦋 These adorable treats are perfect for spring and once we’re good to leave our homes again, for parties & to gift to friends. Who wouldn’t love a little sweet treat made with love?
We don’t usually have these last more than a day, but I would eat them within a 3 day period. We keep them in an airtight container to keep them as fresh as possible. You can have so much fun with these by choosing different color candies and pretzel sizes to make these candied butterfly pretzels! Halloween theme with black and orange, summer theme with yellow and orange, Fourth of July with red, white & blue, etc.

INGREDIENTS
24 hard pretzels
15-20 purple candy melts
2 tbsps nonpareils
½ cup yellow candy melts
6 pretzel sticks
Yields: 12 butterfly pretzel snacks
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and line up the 24 pretzels.
Place purple candy melts in a plastic sandwich bag and use a meat pounder or rolling pin to crush the candy melts into small bits.
Add broken candy melts into the cavities of each pretzel.
Bake for 2-3 minutes.
Remove from oven and use a toothpick to evenly spread the melted candy melts in each of the pretzel’s cavities. Sprinkle with nonpareils.
Allow the pretzels to set, about 20 minutes.
Line a separate pan with wax paper.
Place yellow candy melts into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals, mixing between each interval, until completely melted.
Break each pretzel stick in half and dip each one in melted candy.
Place coated pretzel stick on wax paper and attach 2 purple pretzels on either side.
Repeat for every pretzel stick.
Allow to set. Serve and enjoy!
